Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students, 

Welcome to the 2024/2025 school year!  I hope all of our Welty Middle School students, parents, guardians and families had a great relaxing summer.  It is hard to believe the start of a new school year is right around the corner.

The beginning of each school year brings new opportunities for the students and staff alike.  At Welty  Middle School, we have 65 dedicated professionals who work hard daily to ensure that our 700 students embrace these opportunities throughout the school year.  Together we will achieve great things through our continued focus on academic excellence and social competence to help your child meet the demands of the ever-changing 21st Century. It is our goal that the students of Welty Middle School uphold our school values of responsibility, respect, and safety so that they can become positive and productive members of our great New Philadelphia Quaker community! 

My top priority is the success of our Welty Middle School students both inside and outside of the classroom. I look forward to getting to know our new class of 6th graders and continuing to work with our 7th and 8th grade students throughout the school year and building positive relationships to support their success.  With the amazing welcoming staff, great support from families, and the common goal of promoting students’ academic and community achievements, Welty Middle School truly is a special place to be!
